Our seasoned panelists will give insights on the skills and tools needed to land your dream job in these uncommon sports spaces and touch on the hot topics driving the conversations in and around the sports world.

Panelists:

Tahira Bellot is Senior Director of Ticket Sales and Service for the WNBA’s Dallas Wings and National Lacrosse League’s Panther City Lacrosse. In her role, Bellot is part of an extremely talented and accomplished team that is leading the effort in changing the narrative on women’s professional basketball and focused on creating innovative ways to sell tickets and engage non-WNBA fans. Her previous stops in sports include serving as Director of Ticket Sales and Operations for Dover Motorsports, running both the infamous Monster Mile and Nashville Superspeedway tracks, where she led the sales team to the first NASCAR Cup Series Race sell out in Middle Tennessee in almost 40 years, and on the sales staff for the XFL’s Seattle Dragons where she guided the franchise to the highest revenue in the league before the COVID-19 pandemic forced the league to fold. Bellot has also worked with Major League Soccer’s Orlando City Soccer Club and Atlanta United, NBA’s Atlanta Hawks and the Ritz Carlton Hotel Company as a learning coach.  Bellot received a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Media and Marketing from Full Sail University, where she graduated Valedictorian, after attending Hampton University.

Rodd Newhouse is Wealth Manager with 44 Management and part-owner of Major League Rugby’s Dallas Jackals. With more than 20 years of experience in the sports industry and extensive experience with investment services, Newhouse has built and grown his sports and entertainment advisory practice to success that led him to invest in the Jackals, which are set to begin play in MLR in 2022 as an expansion franchise. His previous stops in sports include Pro Personnel Director for the Arizona Cardinals and on the staff of the NFL Management Council. The son of Super Bowl champion and former Dallas Cowboys standout Robert Newhouse was a football student-athlete at Rice University for four years and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, Sports Management and Managerial Studies. He also received an Executive Juris Doctor, Law degree from the Concord Law School at Purdue University Global.

Jesse McNeil III is Senior Director of Tournaments at Major League Soccer’s FC Dallas. In his 12th season with the franchise, McNeil directs eight youth and adult soccer tournaments annually hosted at Toyota Soccer Center and MoneyGram Soccer Park. The tournaments have grown from 87 teams in 2010 to more than 650 in 2020 and generated more than $3 million in total revenue during his time in this role. His previous stops in sports include holding positions at the MLS’ Dallas Burn, Special Olympics Texas, Host Communications, Dallas Cowboys Football Club. The Dallas native and Skyline High School alum is a certified soccer referee, officiating games at all levels from professional, college, high school, and amateur soccer. He earned a scholarship and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology/Sports Management from Texas A&M. Recently, McNeil achieved a Masters of Business Administration degree from Southern New Hampshire University.

Jasmine Baker is an award-winning women’s sports culturalist and creative director. A lifelong sports fan, Baker has evolved her career from working in radio and covering sports at the high school, college and professional levels in the Dallas-Fort Worth area to expanding to consulting and designing apparel for professional teams. She has been featured in Sports Illustrated, Time Magazine, Buzzfeed, USA Today and on Fox Sports Radio and served a guest on numerous sports shows. The Austin native earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Texas A&M University-Commerce and has begun studies on a Master’s of Business Administration degree.
